On Machine Gun Etiquette, The Damned reformed to produce a contrasting album of not so serious two minute classics (see Love Song, Melody Lee etc.) to some more complex tracks such as 'Plan 9 Channel 7' and 'I Just Can't Be Happy Today'. The album also showcased the bands high quality musicianship an excellent rhythm section, excellent lead vocals and brilliant lead guitar. This album was the bridge from the bands early 'punk' days
