Native to the rocky grasslands of Mozambique and South Africa. Produces firm, lance shaped leaves arranged in a tight, symmetrical rosette with a pronounced spiral habit. Foliage is textured, with raised transverse ridges, and deep green and cream to pale yellow in colour. Variegation occurs in irregular stripes. Individual leaves reach 58 cm in length; the plant forms a compact rosette
