The amulet symbolizes protection and is hand carved out of 18k yellow gold featuring turquoise hoplite shields and a hand carved lapis Hippocamp tail. The front side of the Hippocamp Amulet features motifs drawn from an Ancient Phoenician coin depicting three Greek hoplite soldiers holding shields and sailing in a war ship with a lions head at the
