This is a good quality tan coloured leather case with curved lower corners

The other arm originally had a similar double eyelet

A Medieval 15th Century Spur Missing Rowel - Spur292 saddle This example is turned fromA Mediaeval spur in excavated conditionIt has a quite long straight neck, this would have held a rotating rowel the rowel has been lost. The arms of the spur are curved to pass below the rider's ankle bone. The ends of the arms have the remains of circular holes or eyelets .
