I thought it would be another beautiful and colorful sunrise so

rich and bright colors appears over Wildflower Lake

With the sun breaking the horizon just above the box elder trees that line the banks of Eakin Creek West

I was looking for some subjects to photograph along the trail with the sun illuminating those subjects when I came upon this Kentucky coffee tree being backlit with an orange glow from the morning sun

AT THE CREEKS EDGE HILLS I thought it would beAfter receiving 2 3 inches of snow overnight, I set out to photograph this recent snowfall along Eakin Creek West on this 2nd day of the New Year. The temperature was in the mid 20's with little to no wind and overcast conditions. Over the years, I have come to notice that the creek usually doesn't completely freeze over and that the creeks edges can form some pretty cool ice patterns, which makes for some good photography.
