There is a bullion embroidered crown on each or the rear corners. The cloth is edged in gold and scarlet lace. It is reinforced with straps of tan leather in the area where the stirrup leathers and girth pass. There are two tan leather straps with brass buckles stamped "Peat, Saddler, Old Bond Street, London", Peat used this address from the mid 1800's until 1870. I do not know which regiment would have
