To create the graphic dots, artisans use a three step wax resist technique: They apply a translucent glaze to the handcrafted textured ceramic base, then paint on the dots in wax, and finish with a glossy cream glaze. And just like that, the wax resists the second glaze to allow the textured ceramic dot pattern to show through. Topping it
