Caol Ila Distiller's Edition 2021 Release 1998 Palate: Sooty sugared almondsThis is a limited edition single malt Caol Ila that was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021. The liquid was initially matured in a combination of American and European oak casks, and subsequently transferred to ex Moscatel wine casks for an additional maturation period. Rich, multi layered but also crisp, this is a pretty unique dram.
