The Riesling grapes were grown in one of Gttelmann's best sites "Le Mur". A steep, south facing vineyard sheltered from the cold winds by Hunsrck mountains, it is surrounded by a wall. Originally called "Die Mauer" or "The Wall", the youngest daughter of the Gttelmann generation suggested to call this vineyard "Le Mur", which has a much nicer
